Brief History
Stamfordham
is situated between Hexham and Newcastle Upon Tyne. The village is a reminder of time gone by. The Bay Horse Inn was built
Before 1590 as a fortified farmhouse, Around the turn of the 17th century the farm was turned in to a coaching
Inn.

Team Investigation
The team had just stepped into the Inn when all the lights flicked,
A go start! All the team sat in the pool table area of the Inn. The room has old beams on the ceiling. It has a warm friendly
atmosphere, The large fireplace adds to the feeling. Denise sat down and felt someone touch her hair, No one was near her
at the time. Two members of staff Karen & Sheila asked if they could join us.
We first took readings (Temp & Emf) In rooms 2, 4 & 5.
Room 4 was very cold and overlooked the cemetery. Chris and Denise had a look
in room 5 and as soon as Chris got to the bathroom door he said there was a cold unnerving atmosphere in the room.
We all joined together in the pool area to do a séance, Sheila kept quivering
quite violently at times. The dartboard has two doors covering it, one of these doors moved repeatedly. Chris kept getting
the names William and Billy, Sharon asked did he use to bang on the bar with his walking stick. We found out later that an
old customer named Billy used to stand at the bar and bang his pint to get attention for another drink. We have his surname,
but will not print it in case of upsetting any living family members.

Later Chris went into room 4 and reported footsteps in the room and picked up
orbs around the room, he also stated that the temperature in the room dropped dramatically while he was in there. While Chris
was in the room on his own the others split into two groups and went to rooms 2 and 5, Sharon and Denise had room 5 and both
reported their hands going very cold and then very hot. Sharon took a video camera into the room, it was facing the wall near
the bathroom, when the tape was played back a blue mist started forming on the wall, it seems to form into a large mass then
suddenly disappears.
Kristian set a video camera up in the pool area, while waiting for the others,
a bright blue light appeared across the room, the windows had wooden shutters on them so no light from outside could get through.
Paranormal? We are not sure. What happened next definitely was.
Robbie, Louise, Rachel and Sheila went to do a vigil in room 5, while the rest
of us went for a coffee, it was now 3am. We all heard a very loud scream from upstairs, Louise came in the room very upset
and shaking, her face was ashen, she looked ill. While they had been in the room the atmosphere changed, Louise stood up and
faced the bathroom door, she saw a figure very clearly in robes and a ‘scrunched up face’ as she described. Straight
after Chris, Sharon and Sheila went up to room 5, they tried to communicate with the ‘Entity’ by asking questions,
no response was given. The room became colder and darker. Looking at the bathroom door Sheila became very upset and said she
could see a man standing in the doorway, Sheila became more upset her was shaking uncontrollably and had to be helped out
of the room.
Sharon and Chris wanted to go back to room 5 so they took Rachel along as nobody
else wanted to go as they were very shaken. Back in the room the atmosphere was very heavy and threatening, again questions
were asked, no response, but a tall dark figure could be seen by all three in the bathroom doorway, the feeling now was of
something malevolent and if possible the room seemed to be colder and darker. After what seemed like hours the three said
a prayer in the room and left to join the others.
Conclusion
From when we first walked into The Bay Horse Inn “Things happened”
We would love to have done another ghost hunt there some of the most ‘Strange’ experiences we’ve had Louise
seeing the figure, We have ords on film and pictures, Blue lights appearing. A very good paranormal night.
